LES FOLETTES presents: Cammello Maculato, utterly sexy lingerie.

Cammello Maculato is the utterly edgy name of a new luxury underwear line, born in France, now leading its way through Germany and comin’ up to Italy very very soon. We Folettes met with Theresa, the  creative director of this uber sexy project. Here is what she told us, about her line, her life and of course, Italy.

:: Why and when did you decided to launch Cammello Maculato? And why did you chose this funky and Italian-ish name?

I decided to launch CAMMELLO MACULATO at the beginning of 2011 in France. I gained a lot of experiences as a junior designer in the fashion industry, what was really interesting and helpful for my own business now, but at the same time the idea to implement myself aroused. I was often asked when I would finally realize my own line. Well, that time is now. And as for the name: “Cammello Maculato” as you well know means spotted camel. And that to me is synonymous with the sublime mix of a multitude of influences, which are characteristic of my style.

:: What makes your brand unique?

Cammello Maculato has been created to inspire women. The idea is to let them know they can use their sensuality in a self-confident and irresistible way - not just for themselves but for others too. I am designing with the purpose of accentuating the individual beauty each woman has. Cammello Maculato plays with fashion, it accentuates, it adorns, it embellishes. This lingerie is an ode to all women who loves themselves. Plus, I tried to design different types of styles and items. Cammello Maculato can be worn at a whole variety of occasions: under or over clothes, at home or as a part of evening attire. I exclusively work with high end materials: silk, chiffon and soft jersey.  Also, in choosing our manufacturing partners (all European) we put great emphasis on exemplary working conditions and exclusive use of high quality materials and trimmings. Cammello Maculato thus means not only high comfort and beautiful materials, but also maximum sustainability.

:: What is your definition of creativity?

When you are always thinking about changing things. When you are getting ideas all the time, even in your dreams, that means your  creativity is up and running. Ready to bloom!

:: What are the three first things that pop into your head when you think about Italy? 

Pizza and Pasta, beautiful fashion, greceful “nonnas”.

:: What is the most fola (crazy) thing you ever did (in life, for love or for your work)?

Living in India for almost one year! It was really a good time. But  when I think about it, about what I did and how I used to live,  well… I admit: there have been a lot of crazy and also risky  situations. But I enjoied every little bit of it.
